RSIC clips - low frequency numbers

Postby Bob » Sat Mar 06, 2004 10:02 pm

Hi:

I've read http://www.pac-intl.com/pdf_test/test_RAL_TL01-211.pdf a few times, but for some reason I never went beyond page 3. The frequencies there range from 100hz to 5khz.

I just discovered that on page 6 they have wall TL numbers down to 31.5hz.

Bob,

Take care that such low frequent data is very sensitive to lots of influencing parameters.
That means that transplanting them to real life situations is questionable.
They are also mentioned as such (valid for that particular measurement, in those particular circumstances).
Panel size, room volumes, etc. will alter those values.
But it gives a good picture to show that there is really a mass-spring resonance (reversed panel trap).
