Another newbie - from Peterborough as well

Postby uk03878 » Thu Mar 18, 2004 6:51 pm

Thought I would say hi...
Just moving house from one of of Peterborough to the other
This time I have the garage to myself - so...
Will be searching through the archives for some articles on garage conversion (temporary - it's only a rent for a couple of years)
Just personal recording - acoustic guitars, synths, sound modules, electirc guitars through the pod etc.... nothing too loud!!

Neat - that makes three of us at least. Not bad for the size of the place. Which part of town (if you don't mind me asking)?

This is an excellent forum. I don't post much because I have more learning to do than advising but I check in everyday to see what is going on. Hope you find it as useful as I have.

Don't think so...
ex-dodgy pub rock band from early 1990s called Steamroller...
Recorded an album up in Boston in Gem Studios (still there - old Calrec desk and 2" 24 track) - huge huge live room
I am Simon - have a brother called Aidey - he used to hang around with the guys from Hanky Panky Soundsystem/Bogarts/Monkey Bar
Used to live in the Cresset in mid 1980s and hang around with Mark Ringer of Willow Festival fame (he taught me Hey Joe...)

Did you ever go in Stix Music Shop. I used to work in there between 1990 and 1994.
