Here's the deal http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifie ... c=3WWRWXGB

I've started splitting the guitar out cable, one side going dry to recorder, the other into the ME70. At the ME70 I choose my amps/cabs/etc etc for the sound I truly want to get, send stereo out to recorder, mono out to a Peavey Windsor Studio http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifie ... -combo-amp for sustain purposes, then mic the Windsor with a 57. That's 4 tracks for the guitar, including a direct line safety, which carries the sustain/overtones induced by the amp. I don't have to compress the modeling system to attain sustain. I dislike guitar compression. The amp sustains the guitar acoustically. Plus I get the speaker movement by micing the cab. If I ever decide to change the sound, I can go back to the direct safety and run it through an amp or the ME70. The sustain/overtones are all there.

:-) What I can't do, with my small room, is to mic the room. I wish. :bang

Luther & Cody, I knew their dad Jim, killer keyboards player. Cody has that solid straight-up tempo & groove, never plays "time" just the groove..

Blues is about a man, and a woman, and pain. You get beyond that it's not the Blues. ~ Muddy Waters, I believe

Bert, thought you might like this quote by actor Max von Sydov:

People seem to think I'm a very religious person, very serious, that I'm an old man by now - and that I play a great deal of chess. Actually, I'm a family person. I'm rather private. I enjoy my work very much when it's interesting and, fortunately, it's been mostly interesting. I like nature and being outdoors. I'm a gardener at my summer home. I like to travel. I'm not as serious as they think I am - I don't even play chess. And I really don't know myself too well.

Nice, bro Ido.

I play chess because my stepmother has Alzheimer and she whips my ass when she just remembers which piece is endagered.
