Just wanted to point to this:
http://www.aerowool.nl/

I can't find it in English, but this means Rockwool have made a mix of aerogel with their rockwool stuff !

Could be interesting ?

Wat een kutsite.
Het lijkt meer op vage klankschalenspiritualiteit dan op wetenschappelijke informatie

Yes the site looks bogus, but it could be interesting.
I saw a document somewhere, showing much better LF absorbtion for thin samples for aerogel than other types of absorbtion.
If this behaviour is transmitted to the aerowool variety, it could offer much better REAL LF performance than standard rockwool.

But you are absolutely right, this preliminary site looks like :bang
