Does anyone know if wood fiber, knowing the air flow resistivity, has the same absorption properties as mineral wool?
Can one use an absorption calculator for porous model like the one below with wood fiber when the air flow resistivity of the product is known?http://www.acousticmodelling.com/multi.php
Why have acoustics been generally overlooked by audiophiles, when they'll worry about things like the purity of the rhodium plating on binding posts?

google turned these up:
Tecturn Wall Panels and Ceiling Panels have published absorption coefficients, and are made of aspen wood fibers.

Tectum has completely different absorption properties from mineral wool and fiberglass. Often this is an advantage when trying to give a room a balanced acoustical response. It also will withstand a good amount of abuse which is why it used so much in stadiums and arenas. Getting gas flow resistance coefficients for many products could be difficult, chance are many of them have never been measured for it.
