Someone passed on a list of magic L, W, H ratios a while back. Can someone
direct me to them.

There are a few ratios you might what to try for suggested proportions in
height, width, length
Volkmann 1, 1.5, 2.5 sepmeyer 1, 1.28, 1.54 or 1, 1.60, 2.33 louden 1, 1.4,

1.9 there are more in the master handbook of acoustics

These are some of the ratios that will tend to give an even spacing of room
modes.
The name in front of the ratio is the person take came up with it. They all fall
into what is called the bolt range. Bolt and a few few other people plotted on a
graph all the ratios that would give an uniform distribution of room modes. If
you
have The Master Handbook of Acoustics, or Sound System Engineering they both
have
the chart and more details.
Of course if the room is already built this doesn't help much your stuck with
what
you have. But if you are building a room or dividing up a space I always try to
build it within the bolt range.
