Subject: Flushmounting loudspeakers

Hello !

I am new to this group.

My name is Leif Hole and I live in Norway.

I have a question.

How to flushmount loudspeakers ?

Is it best to build a box in the inner shell of the room ?

Or, make a second wall inside the room with a box to intall the loudspeakers ?

I've done it both ways, it depends on how much room you have to work with. A
second inner wall to mount main monitors is easier to build and maintain a
fairly
soundproof wall. If you only have to room for a single inner wall, then try to
build the soffits as soundproof is the rest of the wall. The monitor wall I tend
to build as the heaviest and least resonate of the control room walls in an
effort to keep the the monitor from vibrating it.
