Isover Type P4/TRHV100 and Type P4/TRHV120 seems to be an equivalent to Owens
Corning 703
based on the absorption coefficients, even if one is fiberglass and one is
mineral wool. Where I live you can't get mineral wool. I'm not even sure what
it is made from, I assume it is made from mica. The panels from Silanto may be
an exact replacement. 703 if the main material that is hard to find. It is hard
to find in the US as well, you can't run down to the hardware store and pick
some up. It is mostly used in commercial construction so you have find
companies that supply large contractors. Most of the other materials is a
matter of translation.
This is the reason I am trying to gather the names of the materials from
different countries. At least 35% of the list is outside of the US. I guess I
should gather sources for these materials as well. If you track down some
sources let me know.
I have a link to Owens Corning on the links page that will take you to pdf's of
their acoustic products You could print the one for 703 panel to show the
distributors. Do you know if any of these manufacturers have web sites? If they
do post the links and I'll add them to the website.
Fabrics shouldn't be that hard to find unless they need to be fireproof. If you
do need fireproof fabrics try a theater supply company. Most of the time I
just go to the cloth store and find something lightweight. That I can see some
light though it, if I hold it up and has a little stretch to it.
